Albury Sewer Works Remediation

Project Overview

Scope of Works

At the Albury Sewer Works SPS37 site, our team delivered a full refurbishment of the Flow Tank and Pump Well to restore structural integrity and provide long‑term protection against H₂S exposure. The project began with complete site establishment, confined‑space controls and installation of internal access systems to safely reach all surfaces.

We carried out high‑pressure hydro‑blasting to remove deteriorated material and contaminants before testing the substrate to confirm pH‑neutral conditions. All waste was contained and removed from site. Once prepared, the structures were reinstated with new in‑situ steelwork where required, ensuring a stable base for the protective lining system.

A Renderoc G structural coating was applied across all walls, floors and soffits to achieve a 50‑year design life with continuous depth checks and controlled curing to meet manufacturer specifications.
Additional works included coating manhole lids with Nitomortar 903 and WPE110 Polyurea, and treating or replacing reinforcement where deterioration was identified. Cold joints were inspected and if necessary, sealed using hydrophilic polyurethane grout to prevent hydrostatic leakage.

Throughout the project, we maintained strict quality assurance processes including substrate testing, coating verification and pull testing. The completed works delivered a fully rehabilitated, long‑lasting asset capable of meeting modern wastewater performance requirements.

"Paul and the team from PMG Remedial were fantastic to work with. I believe our company is onto a real winner partnering with them. Their effort, willingness to learn and attention to detail were impressive, and it didn't take long for the team to become highly capable in operating our specialised equipment."
